Back to School of Clinical Medicine. Welcome to the Department of Cardiology. The objectives of the department are to provide, within the constraints of the health system of the province and the country, an effective consultative and diagnostic service for adult and paediatric patients with cardiac disease. Dr Tanya Maistry graduated with a PhD in Cardiology. Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital.
The Department undertook the Dermatology Refurbishment Project. Staff, patients and volunteers assisted in the refurbishment of the clinic and this began in September 2013 and was completed and launched in May 2014. The launch was attended by officials in the Department of Health and the University and was publicized in the media. Dermatology bags MEC s Award. The department of Dermatology from UKZN recently received special recognition for service excellence.
